Day Two Results
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Missouri State track and field team continued to make strides during a damp second day of the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship.
Grace Breiten captured third place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, recording a 10:34.83 pace. The junior earned her first track and field All-Conference honor of her career.
Jordyn Capra also recorded an 11:23.71 10
th place finish in the event.
Olivia Ott finished up the heptathlon with a fifth place 4,490 point total. Ott marked season bests in the long jump (5.44m) and the javelin throw (34.07m). Â
The Bears qualified five athletes into tomorrow's finals including;
Chicago Bains (14.10) 100m hurdles,
Namibia Clavier (56.99) 400m,
Taryn Smiley (11.82) 100m,
Timeka Jordan (12.03) 100m and
Madeline Saville (2:15.34) 800m.
Day three of the MVC Outdoor Championship will start at 9 a.m. CT for the Bears, with the long jump.
