Track & Field Bears Commence MVC Outdoor Championship

Day One Results
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Missouri State track and field team kicks-off day one of the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship, hosted by Indiana State.

Rochelle Etienne throws a 41.33 javelin attempt earning fourth place and scoring the first five team points for the Bears. Olivia Ott also posted a season best toss of 36.16m, finishing in 11th.

In the first day of the heptathlon Ott sits in sixth place after four events with 2,719 points. Ott marked season bests in the 100-meter hurdles (14.79) and the high jump (1.43m).

Taryn Smiley and Namibia Clavier finish with qualifying times for Sunday's 200-meter final. Winning her heat, Smiley takes a 24.41 time, while Clavier qualifies on with a 24.58.

Erica Wollmering and Edna Dar earn a spot in day three's 1,5000-meter final. Wollmering (4:38.03) taking second in her heat, while Dar (4:38.68) qualified ninth.

Day two of the MVC Outdoor Championship will start for the Bears at 9:30 a.m. CT with the next four events in the heptathlon.
