Final Results
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri State track and field team placed 19 events in the top five at the Mizzou Spring Open, at the Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Mo.
Sidne' Williamson (5.81m) and
Jamilah James (5.80m) took second and third respectively in the long jump.
James also added a second place finish in the triple jump with a season best 12.46m leap.
Rounding out the field events,
Rochelle Etienne took third in the javelin with a 43.67m throw.
Running in the 100-meter hurdles was
Chicago Bains who completed a 14.03 pace.
In the 1,500-meter run the Bears took two of the top three places, with
Erica Wollmering finishing second with a 4:38.98 time, while
Edna Dar finished in third at a 4:39.30 pace.
Shelby Palmer captured second place in the 5,000-meter with an 18:17.92 race.
Renae Buschling (18:35.27),
Mercedes Robinson (18:57.23) and
Adyson Delaney (19:21.51) took third through fifth place.
The Bears' 4x100-meter relay the team of
Timeka Jordan,
Taryn Smiley,
Tomi Bamigbade and Bains took second place after a 46.24 relay.
Missouri State will take the next step in the outdoor season at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark next weekend (April 12-13).
