MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Missouri State track and field team finished strong at the Memphis Tiger Invite, marking seven top-five finishes.
Jamilah James marked a 12.56m triple jump personal best attempt to earn second place in the event. James' mark sits second in the Missouri Valley Conference and 33
rd on the West Region list.
Daijha Heron also recorded a PR in the triple jump with a fifth place 12.45m leap.

In the pole vault,
Georgia Richardson cleared the 3.67m distance to take home third place in the event. Â

On the track
Chicago Bains and
Divina Henry earned top five placings in their respective events. Bains marked a fifth place 14.44 100-meter hurdle time, while Henry earned second place in the 400-meter run with a 56.20 time.

The Bears also placed the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays. The 4x400 team eclipsed their season best with a first place 3:43.60 time, also seeing the 4x100-meter relay team come in third, in an outdoor best 46.01 seconds.

The Bears will be back in action for the 2018 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, May 11-13 in Terre Haute, Ind.
