Jack Knoesel led the Bears to a third place finish at the Mizzou Tiger Invitational. Knoesel shot three birdies in rounds one and two to card 71 and 72 respectively. Matching his season low 67 in the first round the junior posted a season low 210 to tie for fifth.
Adam Fisher jumped up to 15th firing off 72-73-70--215. Also moving up in the individual standings,
Kory Franks shot 72-73-72--217 and finished tied for 17th. In 35th,
Brad Carpenter shot 71-76-74--221 while
Lukas McCalla rounded out the Bears roster with 72-79-79--231.
The Bears finished where they started, in third place of the 19-team field. The top spot went to host Missouri with four golfers in the top 10 to card 839. Kansas State also held fast at second with 850, followed by the Bears, South Dakota (868), and UMKC (873) round out the top five.
The Bears are back on the course starting April 23 for the MVC Championship in Cape Girardeau, Mo. where they will hosted by Southern Illinois University.
