Day One Results
LINCOLN, Neb. – Eleven members of the Missouri State track and field team logged strong performances on the first day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational here on Friday.
Brittany McPike broke the MSU program record in weight throw for the second time in a week. McPike tossed an 18.32m weight throw attempt to earn ninth place in the meet. She now holds the fifth longest distance in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.

On the track,
Jordyn Capra earned third place in the 5,000-meter run after running the event in 17:45.59.
In the long jump
Jamilah James led the way for the Bears by marking a 5.47m jump on her first attempt of the day to earn 12th place.
Daijha Heron and
Sidne' Williamson also competed in the event and they marked 5.31m and 5.30m jumps respectively.

Missouri State will start the second day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with the 200m dash at 11:30 a.m., while field events start at 2 p.m. with pole vault.
