FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Missouri State junior distance runner
Jessica Allen cut major time to post a new personal time of 9:58.20 in the 3,000-meter run on Saturday (March 25) at the Arkansas Spring Invitational at John McDonnell Field. Allen's sixth-place time was 32.24 seconds faster than her previous best time of 10:32.44.
Senior
Cindy Forde posted a time of 4:39.40 in the 1,500-meter seeded run, good for tenth place while freshman
Erica Wollmering tallied a time of 4:46.42 in the unseeded event.
In the 800-meter run, freshman
Paityn Howat crossed with a time of 2:15.85 to take fourth place.
Madeline Saville posted a time of 2:20.36 as sophomore
Kayla Fallis finished with time of 2:20.50, crossing the finish line 10
th and 11
th respectively.
Bears' senior
Holly Pattie-Belleli collected fifth place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.09 while tallying a time of 1:03.62 in the 400-meter hurdles. Freshman
Chicago Bains finished tenth with a time of 14.77 in the 100-meter hurdles.
Junior sprinter
Marissa Kurtimah finished with a time of 24.58 in the 200-meter dash, good for seventh place.
In the long jump competition, junior
Daijha Heron finished seventh with a distance of 5.51 meters while sophomore
Sidne' Williamson leaped 5.41 meters.
Senior
Melanie Raterman finished third in the javelin with a new personal best distance of 42.70 meters.
The Missouri State track and field team will split action next week, sending part of the squad to the Texas Relays (March 29-April 1) in Austin, Texas, and part to the Joey Haines Invitational (March 31-April 1) in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
