CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Missouri State lost a one-hole playoff here Tuesday afternoon to finish as team runners-up at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate in the Bears' fall season finale.

Coach Neal Stafford's squad finished the 54-hole event tied with UT Martin before both teams played the No. 10 hole as a tie-breaker. UT Martin shot 2-under, while the Bears were even, giving the OVC club the team championship.

Missouri State, which was seven strokes behind Murray State after the first 36 holes, shot a field-best 287 on Tuesday to finish a stroke ahead of third-place Murray State (874), while Mercer (881) was fourth in the 11-team field.

Junior Jack Knoesel also had a strong finish for MSU, leading a cast of four Bears in the top 15 with a final-round 69. His two-day tally of 74-74-69--217 was one over par and tied for ninth place.

Adam Fisher (74-72-72--218) tied for 11th place, while Brad Carpenter (70-77-73--220) matched teammated Kory Franks (73-74-73--220) for 15th place.

Murray State's Austin Knight was 6-under par (73-67-70--210) to win top individual honors and edge Auburn's Ryan Knop (72-67-72--211) by a single stroke.
