SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The 2015 Missouri State men's soccer schedule has been completed and includes a total of 16 games regular season games and three home exhibitions. The back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference regular season champions will host a total of nine matches at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium on the Missouri State campus in Springfield. The Bears will play four games against top-50 RPI teams from a season ago, with Tulsa concluding the exhibition season and the Bears traveling to South Florida, New Mexico, and old conference rival Creighton, one the last four teams standing in last season's College Cup.

The Bears will play three preseason friendlies to begin the year. Missouri State will host Missouri Valley College (Aug. 14) before traveling to Northwestern State (Aug. 16) and University of Tulsa (Aug. 21).

The regular season will begin on Aug. 28, when the Bears travel to University of South Florida. This will serve as a homecoming for Missouri State upperclassmen, Emmerich Hoegg and Mikey Lightbourne, both Sunshine State natives.

September begins with the Betty & Bobby Allison regular season opener when the Bears host Oral Roberts in the first leg of a home-and-home. Missouri State will make the return trip to ORU on Nov. 2. The two team split last year's games, with each defending their home field.

The Bears will travel to in-state opponent UMKC on Sept. 8 to play the Roos. MSU leads the all-time series against the Kangaroos, 17-4-1, after tying for the first time in 2014.

Saint Mary's College of California will travel to Springfield for a pair of games. The Bears will play the Gaels on Sept. 11, then Saint Mary's and Oral Roberts will play a neutral match at Allison South two days later.

Missouri State participates in one regular-season tournament this season. The Bears will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico to play both University of New Mexico and Loyola Marymount University.

Missouri Valley Conference play will begin at home for the Bears the following week. MSU will play SIUE in Edwardsville on Sept. 26.

Three days later, on Sept. 29, Missouri State will be back on the road to play University of Creighton. The former MVC member has played against the Bears a total of 33 times, but this will be the first rematch since the Blue Jays left the conference following the 2012 season.

The Bears will return to conference play the following Saturday with a trip to Drake on Oct. 3, before hosting a pair of games in Springfield against Eastern Illinois and Loyola University.

Following the two home matches, the Bears will take a four-game road swing, beginning with conference games at Bradley and Evansville. Missouri State will then play at Nebraska Omaha for the first time in program history on Oct. 28, before making the returning visit to Oral Roberts on Nov. 2.

The Bears conclude a tough September schedule with a final conference matchup with Central Arkansas at home on Nov. 7.

The Missouri Valley Conference announced that the Valley Tournament will return to Peoria, Ill. for the second consecutive season. Last year, the Bears fell in the conference championship game to SIUE after winning the regular season title with an overall record of 9-5-4 and going undefeated in conference at 4-0-2.
