Six Soccer Bears Honored with CSC Academic All-District Awards

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Missouri State men's soccer has six honorees in the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, CSC announced on Tuesday. 

Seniors Ollie Bate, Fumiya Shiraishi and Harry Jolley earned their spot along with junior Alex Matthews, and sophomores Jarod Harlock and Victor Wachowicz.

Each Bear made the team per the criteria of having at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and having played in at least 90% of the team's games or having started in 66% of the team's games.

Bate (Yorkshire, England) has now appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second straight year. He started in 13 and played in all 16 games this season, clocking 2,533 career minutes as a Bear. This season he scored one goal and made three assists. Bate is majoring in Exercise Science.

Shiraishi (Tokyo, Japan) has also now appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second straight year. He started in 14 and played in all 16 games this season, clocking 1,898 career minutes as a Bear. This season he led the team in goals with eight scored, as well as making three assists. Shiraishi is pursuing his Masters in Professional Studies (M.P.S.).

Jolley (Liverpool, England) has also now appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for a second year, after earning the honor in 2022. He started and played in all 16 games this season, clocking 2,370 career minutes as a Bear. He made three goals and one assist this season. Jolley is pursuing his in Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.).

Matthews (Derbyshire, England) has also now appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second straight year. He started and played in all 16 games this season as a first-team All-American Conference selection, clocking 3,624 career minutes as a Bear. He made two assists this season. Matthews is majoring in Journalism.

Harlock (Liverpool, England) marks his first career appearance on the CSC Academic All-District Team in his first season eligible. He started in eight and played 15 games this season, clocking 1,377 career minutes as a Bear. He made one assist this season. Harlock is majoring in Finance.

Wachowicz (High Wycombe, England) also marks his first career appearance on the CSC Academic All-District Team in his first season eligible. He started and played in all 16 games this season, clocking 2,520 career minutes as a Bear. He scored his first career goal as a Bear this season and made one assist along the one goal. Wachowicz is majoring in Psychology.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Shiraishi and Mattews were selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025.
