ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Missouri State track & field junior Robiann Broomfield has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career. Broomfield was also recognized by the conference on Dec. 11, 2013.

Broomfield led the Bears in both of her events at the season opening Arkansas Invitational. Broomfield was the runner-up in the women's triple jump finals with a distance of 11.78m (38-7¾), the best in the conference in 2015. Broomfield also placed third in the women's long jump finals with a distance of 5.63m (18-5¾), recording the second furthest MVC distance in 2015. She maintains a 3.79 GPA in psychology.

The Bears will stay in the Show-Me State this week, as Missouri State is scheduled to participate in the Missouri Invitational on Fri., Jan. 16, in Columbia, Mo.
