RIO VERDE, Ariz. - The Missouri State women's golf team concluded the Rio Verde Invitational in 16th place after scoring 317-320-321-958 in the three day tournament at the Quail Run course at the Rio Verde CountrÂy Club.
Tournament winner Xavier (303-298-299-900) carded its second straight sub-300 round on Sunday and finished the tournament with a five stroke advantage.
Montana (298-306-301-905) moved into second place and Toledo (308-304-302-314) rounded out the top three.
Montana's Tara Green (72-76-71-219) shot the tournament low 6-over. Shane Crutchfield (73-75-73-221) finished in second place individually for the team champion Musketeers. Ball States' Jenna Hague's (74-77-71-222) final day propelled her into a tie for third with Northern Arizona's Jacquie LeMarr (73-75-74-222).
Missouri State's Ariel Tidwell (78-78-72) carded an impressive 72 on her final round to jump into a tie for 16th overall.
The four remaining Missouri State golfers to compete were Caroline Boone (79-78-84-241), Chiara Citterio (82-83-81-246), Lindsey Eisenreich (78-81-87-246), and Megan Furnish (82-86-84-252).
The Bears will next compete at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev. on March 17-18.
