Final Results
FRISCO, Texas -- The Missouri State women's golf team saved its best for last Wednesday (Apr. 22), posting its best round of the Energy Transfer Conference USA Championship and finishing seventh in the team standings. The Bears shot a four-over-par 292 on the tournament's final day after 299-307 the first two days for an 898 total in three trips around the Fazio Course at Stonebridge Country Club.Â
Western Kentucky captured the team title with 877, with Delaware finishing second (884), and New Mexico State and Sam Houston (887) tying for third. Jacksonville State (893) and Middle Tennessee (894) placed just in front of the Bears, who finished ahead of Florida International (901), UTEP (915) and Kennesaw State (920). Â
Individually, MoState players were tightly bunched together, led by senior
Kiser Pannier and junior
Coyee Zhang, who tied for 16th with 224 totals; Pannier carded 74-77-73 and Zhang shot 72-77-75. Juniors
Kyleigh Pfitzner and
Tierney Baumstark posted 227 totals to tie for 28th, with Pfitzner shooting 76-76-75 and Baumstark 77-77-73. Freshman
Chloe Bolte carded the low round of the tournament for MSU with a one-under 71 in the final round after tallying 77-80 the first two days for a 228 total and a tie for 32nd.
