KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Missouri State women's golf team shot a final round 304 at College of Charleston's Palmetto Intercollegiate to finish the tournament 317-327-304--948.
The Bears finished the second round early Monday morning after Sunday night's holes were cut short due to darkness.
Kansas won the tournament after carding 297-295-284--876, followed by Georgia State (308-288-283--879), East Tennessee St. (294-306-299--899), GRU Augusta (298-311-292-901), and hosts College of Charleston (299-303-300--902).
Megan Thompson (76-81-75--232) and Ariel Tidwell (78-80-74--232) led the Bears and finished tied for 47th overall. Estefania Acosta shot 83-83-75--241, Caroline Boone carded 80-83-80--243, and Megan Furnish rounded out the scoring for the Bears with her 84-85-81--250.
Georgia State's Melissa Siviter finished with a tournament best 77-70-67--214.
This was the final tournament of the women's golf fall season for Missouri State. The Bears will pick up action in February at the Jim West Challenge in San Antonio.
