Junior Catherine Dolan posted her second top-10 finish in three outings this season and the Missouri State women's golf team tied for 12th at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo., Tuesday (Oct. 5).
Dolan tied for ninth in the 84-player field after firing 73-72-75--220, four over par at the Club at Old Hawthorne. Teammate Kelsey Welber followed closely for the Bears, tying for 22nd with 73-76-76--225. Sophomore Emma Clegg was next for MSU, carding 79-78-80--237 to tie for 61st, while sophomore Hermine Greyling had 77-82-81--240 to tie for 71st. Junior Emily Potts finished 77th with 79-83-82--244. Oklahoma State teammates Courtney McKim and Victoria Park tied for medalist honors with four-under 212 totals.
OSU also ran away with the team title, posting a 15-stroke victory after shooting 293-286-284--863. Colorado and Oklahoma tied for second at 878 while Florida International had 885 and Wisconsin 895 to round out the top five. UALR (903) was sixth, followed by Kansas State (904), Kansas (911), Texas State (913), Baylor (917), Princeton (919), the Bears and Illinois State at 922, Missouri (937) and Nebraska (943).
The Bears are idle next weekend before hosting the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, Oct. 18-19.
