Missouri State’s scheduled Missouri Valley Conference game at Southern Illinois Sunday afternoon has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions at Abe Martin Field in Carbondale.

    Rain began falling 30 minutes before the scheduled 1 p.m. first pitch and fell with periods of heavy downpours until 2:45. The game will not be made up.
    
    Missouri State (15-12, 5-0 MVC) returns home Tuesday to play Arkansas-Little Rock at 6:30 p.m.
