Missouri State’s Asher Kyger has earned Missouri Valley Conference women’s track athlete of the week honors, the league office announced Wednesday, May 7.

Distance specialist, Kyger posted a regional qualifying time of 2:09.42 in the 800-meter run claiming third at the Arkansas Twilight. Her time in the event is a new personal best and ranks fifth on the Missouri State top performers list. Kyger’s mark in the 800-meter run ranks third in the Valley this season.

The Missouri State track and field team travels to Carbondale, Ill., on Friday, May 16, to compete at the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.
