Keeping Track of the Bears
  • Missouri State women's track and field travels to Lynchburg, Va., this weekend to compete in the 2026 Conference USA Indoor Championships, hosted by Liberty. The meet marks the program's first appearance at the CUSA Indoor Championships in its inaugural season in the league.
  • The Bears enter the championship meet following a strong showing at the Gorilla Classic, highlighted by 18 personal bests and multiple podium finishes across sprint, distance and field events.
Sprinting into Championship Form
  • Missouri State's sprint group continues to be a driving force. Olivia Rogers posted a 7.56 in the 60-meter prelims before finishing third in the final (7.60) at the Gorilla Classic. She also placed third in the 200-meter dash in 24.55 and has consistently scored in multiple events throughout the indoor season.
  • Delaney Weimer delivered a breakthrough performance in Pittsburg, finishing second in the 60-meter final in 7.59 and recording a personal-best 24.62 in the 200-meter dash.
  • In the 400 meters, Whitney Farrington clocked a 56.21 in the invitational section, while Jordyn Buckley (56.88) and Raegan Foster (57.11) added depth in the open race. The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Claire Farrell, Farrington, Foster and BreAna Garrett placed sixth in 3:45.90, positioning the Bears well heading into conference competition.
  • Cheria Galbreath added a personal-best 9.06 in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, while Tommi Martin recorded a personal-best 10.41, reflecting continued development in the hurdles group.
Distance Group Building Momentum
  • The distance squad produced several key performances at the Gorilla Classic. Lena Singleton placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best 17:34.72, strengthening her conference standing entering the championship meet.
  • Ella Cronhardt led the middle-distance group with a third-place finish in the mile (4:53.97) and a fifth-place showing in the 800 meters (2:11.66). Her consistency complements earlier season performances that moved her to No. 3 all-time in program history in the mile.
  • In the 3,000 meters, Ella Rew (10:09.55) and Emily Nuttall (10:20.77) each recorded personal bests, while Madilyn Moore (17:50.65) and Elsa Henry (18:18.40) added top-eight finishes in the 5,000 meters.
  • The distance medley relay team of Cronhardt, Farrell, Abby Meyer and Mary Margaret Harris placed fourth in 11:52.93, providing additional scoring potential for the championship format.
Field Events Making an Impact
  • Freshman Shiloh Cross continues to headline the field events. After earlier this season moving to No. 9 all-time in program history with a 12.15m triple jump, Cross captured the triple jump title at the Gorilla Classic with a mark of 12.04m. She also earned CUSA Freshman of the Week honors earlier this year and enters the conference meet as a key scorer.
  • Kayleigh Jenkins cleared 1.68m in the high jump invitational section at Pittsburg, while Maggie Haase added a 1.58m clearance in the open competition and contributed in the triple jump.
