Missouri State women’s track and field sophomore Leander Ernest competed in the Iowa State Last Chance Meet Saturday in Ames, Iowa.

Just seconds away from posting a NCAA qualifying mark, Ernest ran a time of 2:08.20 in the 800 meter run.

The Missouri State track and field team will open up the outdoor season March 28-29 traveling to Columbia, Mo, to compete in the Missouri Relays.
