Kaitlin Maxwell recorded a shutout and helped pave the way for a Bears’ 1-0 victory over Evansville in the Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Soccer Championship quarterfinal round. The blanking marked Maxwell’s sixth shutout of the season, who tallied three crucial second-half saves to earn MSU a spot in Friday’s semifinals. She tacked on a season-high 10 saves in MSU’s 2-1 regular-season finale win at Indiana State.
