Sophomore catcher/DH Drew Millas carried the Missouri State offense to another Valley series win over the weekend, hitting a blistering .538 (7-for-13) in the Bears’ sweep of Valparaiso. Millas recorded multi-hit performances in all three games against the Crusaders, and hit .471 with two homers and five RBIs for the week. After homering in MSU’s Tuesday game with Kansas, the Swansea, Ill., native registered two hits in Friday’s series opener at Valpo, then went 3-for-4 and belted the deciding three-run homer in Saturday’s game two victory. Millas finished his week with a 2-for-5 effort in Sunday’s series finale, including a key double that ignited MSU’s decisive four-run rally in the eighth inning.
