Junior outfielder Hunter Steinmetz helped the Bears extend their win streak to eight straight games this past week, including a road series win over Indiana State to open the Valley season. Steinmetz hit .417 (7-for-17) with a home run and six RBIs in Missouri State’s four games. He recorded two-hit efforts in each of the Bears’ first three contests of the week, then homered in Sunday’s series finale in Terre Haute to stretch his season-best hit streak to nine games.
