At Missouri State: Carly McGrane will compete for playing time at defender as a sophomore. 2006: McGrane saw action in one match during her freshman season. Background: McGrane came Missouri State from Villa Duchesne in St. Louis, Mo, where she competed four years as a defender. She was a four-year starter and led the Villa Duchesne Saints to three consecutive second-place district finishes. She served as the team captain her junior and senior years and was awarded all-conference first team honors in her final three years at Villa Duchesne. In her sophomore and junior years, she was honored as the Saints' best defensive player and in her senior campaign, she was voted most valuable player. Personal: Carly is the daughter of Harry and Diane McGrane and was born Aug. 2, 1988.
