2024-25 Season (Sophomore)
Appeared in all nine swim meets…Placed fifth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:22.52), sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.36) and 13th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.85) at the MVC Championships (Feb. 26-March 1)...Placed third in the 400-yard individual medley (4:22.63), sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.81), 26th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.11) at the House of Champions Invitational…Won three individual events in the 400 IM…Recorded the seventh-fastest individual MVC time in the 400 IM (4:22.52)...All-MVC Honorable Mention...Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team.
2023-34 Season (Freshman)
Swam in all 10 meets…Placed fifth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:22.63), 13th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.31) and 13th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.24) at the MVC Championships (Feb. 21-24)...Placed 13th in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:27.29), 14th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:28.61), 25th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.97), 25th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.45) at the Purdue Invitational (Nov. 16-18)...Earned seven top-five individual finishes…All-MVC Honorable Mention.
Background
As a junior, Sala set three new NCSA standards in Wisconsin state SCY in the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke...She also made the finals in five out of five events and recorded personal best times in five out of six events (including the relay leadoff)...For her high school team, Sala was a member of the school record-breaking squad in the 200-yard medley relay.
