At Missouri State: Richerson transferred to Missouri State from North Texas for her final season of eligibility and can provide some much-needed depth in the distance events.

Background: Richerson spent three years swimming for the University of North Texas under head coach Joe Dykstra. In her final season with the Mean Green, Richerson posted lifetime bests at the Sun Belt Conference Championships and came away with an individual title in the 1,650 free (16:50.31).

In addition, the Mansfield, Texas native recorded a fourth-place finish in the 500 free (4:55.38) and fifth place in the 200 free (1:51.10). Richerson lettered all four years at Mansfield Legacy High School and holds five individual school records there. The three-time regional qualifier was named 5A All-State Honorable Mention in the 50 and 100 free at a junior.

Personal: Dawn Renee Richerson is the daughter of Ben and Donna Richerson. She was born on March 14, 1990 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has one sister, Kim. Richerson plans to get her master of arts in history.
