2016: Played in all 20 matches for the Bears, while starting half of them… Scored his lone goal of the season, the game-winner, in MSU’s 3-0 win over Eastern Illinois (Oct. 5)… Contributed key assists in MSU’s conference victories against Bradley (Sept. 23) and Evansville (Oct. 1)… Logged a season-high 95 minutes in the Bears’ MVC tournament quarterfinal match-up with Central Arkansas (Nov. 9).
Background: Missouri State adds versatile defender/midfielder Scott Midgley to an already strong freshman class for this upcoming fall. Midgley was the Auckland City Youth team captain and player of the year this past season for the undefeated league champions. Midgley will join the Bears as the teams third native of New Zealand, and second from the city of Auckland.
