Saw action in 16 games and earned one start during her junior campaign ... Was starting DP in win over Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 18) ... Recorded a season-high eight putouts against New Mexico (Feb. 19) ... Was perfect on 16 defensive chances to share team lead in fielding percentage … Made nine pinch-hitting appearances and saw action in five MVC games ... MVC Honor Roll selection ... Made 14 pinch-hit appearances in her return from acute myeloid leukemia ... drew a four-pitch walk in her first plate appearance (Feb. 13) ... Drove in a run in a win at Western Kentucky (Feb. 19) ... Drew a walk against Northern Illinois (March 5) and versus Central Arkansas (April 6) ... Singled to right on a 1-2 pitch against Omaha (March 11) ... Was hit by a pitch against UNI (April 23).
 
2015 (Redshirt)
Alvstad missed the entire 2014-15 academic school year on a journey to beat acute myeloid leukemia ... She was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 1, 2014, and four days later was diagnosed with AML ... Began chemotherapy treatment on Sept. 9 and received a successful bone marrow transplant on Dec. 19 ... Was the recipient of the Missouri Valley Conference’s Most Courageous Award ... After a long battle to full recovery, Alvstad returned to Missouri State University in the summer of 2015 to resume classes and begin workouts in preparation to rejoin the softball team for the 2016 season.
 
2014 (Freshman)
Played in 29 games and was penciled into the starting lineup on eight occasions ... Drove in her first career run with an RBI groundout against Alabama A&M (Feb. 21) ... Her first career hit was an RBI single against Bradley (March 15), she scored later in the inning ... Drove in two runs with a pinch-hit single in win over Southern Illinois (March 29) ... Singled and drew a walk at Arkansas (April 1) ... Walked and scored and later singled in Bears’ win at Loyola (April 7) ... Had a pinch-hit single in the MVC Tournament quarterfinals against Bradley (May 8).

Alvstad was a four-year starter and letterwinner behind the plate for head coach Joy Marie Galliart at Bixby (Okla.) High ... As a senior, she earned all-state, all-region and all-district honors with the Spartans ... Her team won the Silver Division of the Springfield Invitational in September 2012 ... Took home all-district first team honors as a junior ... Earned Frontier Conference first-team honors as a sophomore ... Was also awarded Freshman of the Year from the Frontier Conference in 2009 ... In 2011, she helped her Diamond Girls club team to a first-place finish in the Colorado Fireworks ... Was the recipient of her school’s Wendy’s High School Heisman Award ... Also played basketball for four seasons at Bixby High.
