Koranda Earns NFCA All-Region Nod

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Missouri State softball's Emily Koranda was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Midwest All-Region Third Team, the organization announced today. She is one of four players to represent Conference USA on the NFCA Midwest All-Region teams.
 
In her freshman campaign, Koranda posted a 2.76 ERA with a 13-14 record in the circle. She hurled 11 complete games, tossed four shutouts, pitched 160.0 innings and tallied two saves. With 104 strikeouts on the season, Koranda owned the most K's by a Mo State pitcher since Steffany Dickerson (178) in 2022 and the most by a Bears freshman hurler since Erin Struemph (155) in 2014.
 
At the end of the regular season, Koranda ranked 13th in wins, 18th in strikeouts and 22nd in ERA amongst freshmen in NCAA Division I.
 
The Marion, Iowa native was named to the CUSA All-Freshman team, was a two-time CUSA Freshman of the Week and was once named CUSA Pitcher of the Week during the 2026 season.
 
This marks the second all-region team member for head coach Kasey Griffith.
