Pitcher out of Linn-Mar (Iowa) High, Koranda is a two-time conference champion and two-time first-team all-state performer…Owned a 15-1 record in the circle with a 1.05 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 113 innings of work as a freshman…Also batted .331 with 40 hits and 27 RBI as she was named to the all-conference second team and earned all-metro honorable mention recognition for the conference champion Lions that went 36-6 on the year…Put together another impressive season as a sophomore, recording 154 punch outs in 126 innings pitched while owning a 14-5 record and 2.00 ERA…The two-way player also led her team with a .446 batting average and 50 hits in addition to 25 RBI and four home runs…Was named All-Metro Co-Player of the Year, while earning first-team all-state, all-district, all-metro and all-conference honors to close out her sophomore campaign…Did not player her junior year due to injury…Bounced back in her senior season with a 0.85 ERA, 219 strikeouts and a 20-3 record in the circle…Batted .455 with seven homers, 19 doubles and 37 RBI…Also played travel ball for Nebraska Gold.Â
