Keeping Track of the Bears
• Missouri State enters the week after opening the outdoor season with a strong showing at the Wash U Distance Carnival and Southwest Baptist Invitational, where the Bears collected event titles, multiple runner-up finishes and several notable marks. Ella Cronhardt led the way in Bolivar with a win in the 1,500-meter run in 4:33.87, while Olivia Rogers finished second in both the 100-meter dash at 11.55 and the 200-meter dash at 23.86.
• Missouri State placed four of the top four finishers in the 1,500 at the SBU Invitational, as Cronhardt finished first, Mary Margaret Harris took second in 4:38.25, Ella Rew placed third in 4:44.82 and Faith Fotiades came in fourth at 4:45.25. The Bears also turned in a strong 4x400-meter relay, with Whitney Farrington, Claire Farrell, Raegan Foster and BreAna Garrett placing second in 3:44.13.
• The sprints group continued to shine in Bolivar. Along with Rogers' pair of runner-up finishes, Kayleigh Jenkins placed third in the 100-meter dash with an 11.69 and fourth in the 200-meter dash at 24.19, while Claire Farrell finished fifth in the 100 at 11.92 and sixth in the 200 with a 24.35.
• In the field events, Shiloh Cross posted another productive weekend, finishing fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.54 meters and winning the triple jump at 11.78 meters. Kayleigh Jenkins added a runner-up finish in the high jump by clearing 1.63 meters, while Tommi Martin placed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 42.12 meters.
• Missouri State also turned in solid depth across the jumps at the SBU Invitational, with Maggie Haase finishing fifth in the triple jump at 10.65 meters. In the long jump, Bella Redman posted a mark of 5.01 meters, Bessie Swoboda reached 5.00 meters, while Sadie McCulloh and Barrett Jackson each recorded 4.86 meters.
