SPRINGFIELD - The Missouri State men's and women's swimming & diving teams commence the 2026-27 season this Friday, Oct. 2 by hitting the road for a two-day meet in Carbondale, Ill. to face off against Southern Illinois. Friday's competition begins at 3:00 p.m. and Saturday's competition begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Shea Natatorium.
Head coach Dave Collins is looking forward to diving into the season, "We are excited to finally get the competition season underway this weekend against Southern Illinois. There has been a tremendous amount of energy and excitement around our program, and our athletes have done a great job carrying that into their preparation this fall. We have a lot of new faces mixed with a strong group of returners, so it will be fun to see how we respond in a meet atmosphere on the road against a good Saluki program."
