Kaemyn Bekemeier vs. Jax State

Bekemeier Racks Up Third CUSA Player of the Week Honor

January 12, 2026

DALLAS – Missouri State women's basketball guard Kaemyn Bekemeier has earned her third Conference USA Player of the Week award this season, the league announced today (Jan. 12).

Bekemeier led the Lady Bears across a 2-0 week by averaging 28.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, while shooting .548 (17-31) from the field and going 20-for-27 (.741) at the charity stripe.

In Thursday night's win over Kennewsaw State, Bekemeier posted a then-career-high 26 points (6-15 FG, 13-16 FT) and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

She followed that up with another career performance in Saturday's win over Jacksonville State, posting her first-career 30-point outing with 31 points on an efficient 11-for-16 shooting from the field (2-4 3FG, 7-11 FT). She also matched her career best with a game-high 14 rebounds.

Her Saturday performance (31 pts, 14 reb) is one of just five such stat lines in NCAA Division I this season and she is the only player on that list under 6'0". She was MoState's first 30-point scorer since the 2021-22 season and is one of just two Lady Bears since 1999-00 to post at least 31 points and 14 rebounds in a single game (Casey Garrison, 2009-10).

Bekemeier is the only player in CUSA to rack up multiple conference player of the week awards this season. The Republic, Mo., native has scored in double figures in 12 straight games, and leads MoState in double-doubles (5), double-figure point games, double-figure rebound games (6) and 20-point performances (7).

Missouri State is back on the road this week for Conference USA matchups at UTEP (Thursday, Jan. 15) and New Mexico State (Saturday, Jan. 17). Tipoff in El Paso is set for 8:00 p.m. CT and the game will stream on ESPN+.
