Keeping Track of the Bears
- The Missouri State track and field team will have a busy week as it prepares for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship. The Bears will host the MoState Twilight on Thursday, May 8.
- The action will kick off at 11:45 a.m. at Parkview High School for the throwing events. The rest of the field events will begin at 4:15 p.m. at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium. A senior recognition ceremony will also be held at 3:45 p.m. then the track events will kick off at 4:15 p.m.
- MoState will host fellow Springfield teams Drury and Evangel, along with Columbia College, Central Methodist, Southwest Baptist and Harris-Stowe.
- This is the fourth home meet for the Bears since the construction of Allison South Stadium. Each meet has featured women's teams, but 2024's Springfield Showdown was the first-time men's teams competed.
- Missouri State remains fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference rankings and sit 23rd in the Midwest out of 39 teams. The Bears final MVC Championship meet is just around the corner on May 17-18 on the campus of Southern Illinois.
- The Bears will no longer compete in the Arkansas Twilight schedule for Friday, May 9.
