ST. LOUIS - Missouri State track and field athlete
Kamdyn Moody was named the Missouri Valley Conference women's field athlete of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
Moody opened the outdoor track and field season with a career-high 4,792 points to win the heptathlon. She took first in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump and 200-meter dash on her way to victory. Moody also set personal records in the 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, long jump and javelin. She is ranked first in the Valley in the heptathlon, third in the Midwest region and 12th nationally.
The Bears will return to the track during the Springfield Showdown on April 4 and 5. Admission is free to all home meets.
