Keeping Track of the Bears
  • Missouri State track and field is back in action for the outdoor track and field season. The Bears will start out the season at the Bearcat Invitational hosted by Southwest Baptist in Boliver, Mo.
  • The meet will span three days from March 27 to March 29. It will be the longest meet MoState competes in this season.
  • The meet will start with the heptathlon on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and continue Friday at 10:30 a.m. Tommi Martin, Sadie McCulloh, Bessie Swoboda and Kamdyn Moody will compete in the event for the Bears. The Heptathlon consists of the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200-meter dash, long jump, javelin and 800-meter run.
  • Friday will end with the 5000-meter run at 7:00 p.m. with 13 MoState athletes competing in the race.
  • Saturday's schedule will feature several events that are exclusive to the outdoor season including the 100-meter dash and hurdles, 3000-meter steeplechase, 4x100-meter relay and javelin.
  • Head coach Jordan Fife enters his 11th year leading the Bears. Assistant coach Taryn Smiley enters her fifth year and assistant coach Bryan Mack enters his third year.
