Keeping Track of the Bears
  • With time winding down until the Missouri Valley Conference championship meet, the Missouri State track and field team will compete at the Arkansas Qualifier of Feb. 21 for final preparations. Field events are set to begin at 12:30 p.m. with the long jump and track events at 2:40 p.m. with the distance medley relay.
  • The meet will be shown on SECN+ beginning at 2:30 p.m.
  • Fourteen Bears will compete in 10 events during the one-day meet. The 800-meter run will have the most MoState representation with four athletes competing.
  • The Bears have held steady in the regional and conference USTFCCCA rankings at No. 26 and No. 9, respectively.
  • Kayleigh Jenkins ran her way into the MVC top-20 in the 60-meter dash with a personal record time of 7.66 second at the Gorilla Classic (Feb. 14 and Feb. 15). She is ranked 16th while Olivia Rogers is sixth.
  • BreAna Garrett and Maliya Clark also worked their way into the rankings thanks to their performance at the Gorilla Classic. Garrett is 10th in the 400-meter run with a time of 56.08 and Clark is eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.51 meters.
  • Missouri State retained its spot atop the distance medley relay rankings with the fastest time in the conference. Tabitha Fox, Victory Ifah, Mary Margaret Harris and Ella Cronhardt recorded a time of 11:59.52.
