Keeping Track of the Bears
• Missouri State opens the 2025-26 indoor campaign this weekend at Pittsburg State's Crimson & Gold Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan. Competition begins Friday evening with select distance events, followed by a full slate of running events starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and field events beginning at noon.
• Missouri State brings a veteran-heavy group into opening weekend, featuring 36 returners alongside seven newcomers (five freshmen, two transfers) making their indoor debuts with the program.
• This meet marks the program's first indoor competition as a member of Conference USA, following an outdoor season in which the Bears finished fourth at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
• The Bears opened last season at the same meet, producing a top-10 finish and multiple personal bests to start the year.
• Head coach Jordan Fife begins his 12th season leading the program. Assistant coach Taryn Smiley enters her sixth year overseeing sprints and hurdles, and assistant coach Bryan Mack begins his fourth year guiding jumps.
