American Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Awards
IRVING, Texas - Missouri State men's soccer freshman Harry Hogben has been named the American Conference Freshman of the Week for the second straight week, the league announced on Monday.
Hogben received the honor of Freshman of the Week after his standout performances in defense, securing the backline in the Bears' last two ties in regular season conference play. As a true freshman he started both games and played for a vast majority of both, helping secure a 2-2 scoreline against Charlotte and 0-0 score against Tulsa.
Senior Daniele Verdirosi received an honorable mention after scoring an important penalty kick in the Bears' draw against Charlotte.
Junior Alex Matthews also received an honorable mention for his solid midfield and defensive efforts in both games against Charlotte and Tulsa.
Up next, the Bears play in the 2025 American Conference Men's Soccer Championship Tournament. The Bears are the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seed FIU on Friday Nov. 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.
