
Track and Field Bears Set for In-State Showdown

Keeping Track of the Bears
- The Missouri State track and field team will resume the indoor season with a trip to Missouri on Friday. Field events will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with the long jump and track events will begin at 2:15 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles.
- The Show-Me Showdown will exclusively feature Missouri teams. The Bears and Tigers will be joined by Lindenwood, Kansas City and SEMO.
- MoState will make the trip to Columbia three times during the indoor season.
- The Bears will compete in 12 events with eight being track events and four being field events.
- Fourty-four Bears will compete in Columbia. Shacky Douglas, Faith Fotiades, Amy Gotfredson and Kaitlyn Hatley will make their track debuts for MoState. Fotiades and Gotfredson both competed in the 2024 cross country season. Douglas came to Missouri State by way of Northwestern Oklahoma State where she was a two-time All-American and qualified for DII Nationals in the 60-meter dash.
- The 2024-25 indoor track and field season kicked off on Dec. 7, 2024, when the Bears competed at the Crimson & Gold Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State. Sophomore Linzy Williams wasted no time getting her initial first-place finish of the season. Her personal record attempt of 1.69-meters secured the win.
- The Bears recorded 13 top-10 finishes and 13 personal records at Pitt State.
