Final Results
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Missouri State men's golf team wrapped up three days at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Monday (Sept. 23), finishing 20th in the field with a final-round 308 and 913 total for 54 holes. The tournament was hosted by the United States Air Force Academy on the famed Eisenhower Golf Course.
As he has throughout the early part of the season, junior
Tim Holmberg paced the Bears with a final-round 75 and 218 total, two-over-par, for a 24th-place finish. Senior
Ludvig Wijkstrom was second for MSU and 85th overall after carding 76-73-80--229, while freshman
Jonathan Jordan was 97th with 83-73-77--233. Junior
Christian Rischer was a stroke back with 79-79-76--234 and sophomore
Andrew Fallis shot 84-78-81--243.
Colorado State went wire-to-wire in capturing the team championship, posting 286-281-283--850, nine better than runner-up Utah State and 11 clear of third-place UC Davis.
The Bears are idle next week before returning to action Oct. 7-8 at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational.
