Men's Golf Sixth After Two Rounds in Vegas

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- The Missouri State men's golf team is in sixth place through 36 holes at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club in suburban Las Vegas. The Bears shot 287-299--586 on Monday (Mar. 9) and senior Christian Rischer led the way with an even-par day, carding 71-73--144, placing him 14th individually entering the final round.

Junior Owen Swearingen was second for MoState and tied for 18th overall after posting 69-76--145, while freshman Noah Naugle is tied for 29th with 71-76--147. Freshman Pedro Gallegos is tied for 49th after shooting 76-76--152 and sophomore Jonathan Jenkins is a stroke back in a tie for 54th with 79-74--153.

Host South Dakota State leads the 11-team field with 566, four better than Youngstown State. Kansas City and North Dakota are tied for third at 578, and IU Indy rounds out the top five with 581.
