Cross-Checking the Bears

The Missouri State women's cross country team will head to Bradley for the first time this season for the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon.
The race will feature two women's races that are 6-kilometers each. The white race will begin at 2:15 p.m. and the red race at 3:45 p.m. The second race of the day will be limited to nine athletes per team. The race will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Classic will feature seven other MVC schools: Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, UIC, Indiana State, Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois.
Sixteen Bears will be representing Missouri State on the course.
This won't be MoState's only trip to Bradley this year. The team will return to Peoria on Nov. 15 for the NCAA Midwest Regional.
The last time out the Bears finished 28^th out of 38 teams at the Gans Creek Invitational at Missouri in a field that included 12 Power Four teams, including four that competed for the 2023 NCAA title.
Sophomore Tabitha Fox led the Bears across the line for the first time in her career with a time of 21:45.5 and a 132^nd-place finish out of 329 runners.
