ST. LOUIS – Former Missouri State men's soccer standout Kyle Hiebert has quickly found success as part of the newest Major League Soccer team, St. Louis City, helping the team to a 4-0 start, a remarkable feat for an expansion team.
Hiebert, who was signed by the expansion MLS franchise in August 2022, scored his first goal on March 15, a game-winner against Portland.
"It was so cool, especially it being a game-winner on the road, away, to get us another big three points," said Hiebert. "It was something I'm never going to forget and that I'm always going to cherish."
Likewise, former Bears goalkeeper Michael Creek finalized his contract with the club in early March. Both former Bears were initially signed to the MLS Next Team before earning spots on the MLS First Team roster.
"[Kyle] is someone that I look up to so much, just how he holds himself on and off the field," said Creek. "To see the success that he's having, no one deserves it more."
