Men's Golf Adds In-State Standout for Next Season

February 08, 2023

Missouri State men's golf coach Neal Stafford has landed a top Missouri high school standout for his 2023-24 recruiting class. The Bears' veteran coach has announced the signing of Columbia's Andrew Fallis to a national letter of intent as Fallis prepares for his senior season at Father Tolton Catholic High School.

Fallis enjoyed an outstanding summer in 2022, capturing a pair of Hurricane Junior Tour events along with two other HJGT top-10 finishes. He also finished third at the Missouri Junior Match Play Championship and sixth at the MGA Junior Stroke Play, along with qualifying for the Optimist International Junior Championship, where he placed 29th of 144 players. Fallis tied for medalist at his conference championship last year as a junior and finished ninth at the Class 3 state meet.

"I'm looking forward to Andrew joining the Bears' Golf family next fall," said Stafford. "He has a very fundamentally sound golf swing and big desire to improve each and every day.  He's a very well-respected junior in Missouri and is a perfect fit at Missouri State!  He is another addition in this exciting new foundation for our future."

Fallis will join Max Bowman of Springfield as incoming freshmen next fall. The Bears are set to open their spring campaign this weekend in Mims, Fla. at the Carpenter/Chaney Match Play Classic.
