MADISON, Ill. -- Junior Owen Swearingen paced the Missouri State men's golf team Monday (Sept. 29) in the opening two rounds of the Derek Dolenc Invitational at Gateway National Golf Links in suburban St. Louis. Swearingen shot 72-69--141, one-under-par, and is tied for 31st while, as a team, MSU is in 16th place after posting 295-292--587.

UT Martin holds a two-shot edge over Idaho entering the final round, 546-548, while Belmont, Green Bay and SIUE round out the top five in the 19-team field.

Tuesday's final round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
