• In the dual versus Drury on Oct. 14, MSU had first-place finishers in two events, with Dylan Moffatt capturing the 1000-yard freestyle and Brunno Suzuki taking the 200-yard freestyle. The Bears fell to the Panthers, 136-107.
• In the MVC Showcase on Oct. 21-22, the men's team defeated Evansville, 240.50-108.50, and fell to SIU, 222-128.
• In the dual against Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 4-5, Moffatt earned first in both the 500- (4:26.71) and 1000- (9:11.98) yard freestyle. Both these events resulted in Moffatt being named Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 9. Also at the meet, Suzuki took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.31), but the men fell to Miami (Ohio), 233-120.
• At the Purdue Invitational on Nov. 16-18, the men's squad finished sixth out of seven schools, accounting for 307.5 total points. Much like the women's team, three out of the five programs that placed ahead of MSU were members of Power-Five institutions (Purdue, Louisville and Northwestern). Pawel Krawczyk recorded a 500-yard freestyle time of 4:22.60 in this meet.
• In the dual versus Missouri on Dec. 3, Suzuki earned the lone first-place finish for the MSU men, winning the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:02.58. In the same event, Brayden Goeldner recorded second (2:03.22), and Robert Hill accounted for three second-place earnings in the 100-yard backstroke (48.95), the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.45) and the 100-yard individual medley (50.05). The Bears fell to the Tigers, 210-86.
• In the duals versus Evansville, Bellarmine and UIC on Jan. 14., the MoState men's team defeated Evansville (181-114), UIC (201.50-94.50) and Bellarmine (234-59). During the duals, the Bears won seven events leading to a sweep of its competition. Pawel Krawczyk and Robbie Hill led the way for MSU, as both swimmers secured multiple first-place finishes in the meet. Hill earned first in the 100-yard backstroke (49.59) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.49), while Krawczyk grabbed victories in the 200-yard butterfly (1:48.66) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:31.71). Krawczyk's performance in the dual earned him MAC Swimmer of the Week honors, announced on Jan. 18.
• In the dual versus Drury on Jan. 20, the MSU men won three events. The Bears were headlined by Moffatt's first-place performance in the 1000-yard freestyle, breaking a Breech Pool record with a time of 9:10.53. Moffatt's time also ranks the fastest this season in the event by any Bear and currently ranks No. 1 in the MAC and No. 6 across all mid-majors. Moffatt's performance in the dual resulted in him being named MAC Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 25. In other events, Krawczyk earned first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:37.58), and the quartet of Robbie Hill, Nicholas Schuster, Krawczyk and Lucas Chadwell grabbed first in the 200-yard medley relay (1:29.75). The Bears fell to the Panthers, 145-98.
• In the dual against TCU on Jan. 28, Krawczyk led the way for the Missouri State men's club, as he was responsible for three out of MSU's four wins that day. Krawczyk won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:33.66 with Moffatt (4:38.28) and Jonathan Hill (4:46.47) finishing right behind him in second and third. Krawczyk (1:49.29) and Huskey (1:52.54) also combined for the top two spots in the 200-yard butterfly, and Huskey won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:55.18. The boards were highlighted by Logan Schelfaut's third-place score of 327.00 in three-meter diving action, his personal best in the event. However, Big 12 TCU defeated MSU, 177-123.
• The 2023 iteration of the MAC Championships marks the 14th time Missouri State has competed in the four-day meet. MSU became an affiliate member of the conference in 2010. MSU most recently won the MAC Championship crown in 2020 after an 892 point performance. Over the nearly decade-and-a-half span, the Bears have three conference titles (2014, 2018, 2020), been runners-up five times (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021) and three third-place finishes (2010, 2016, 2022). The Bears have only finished outside of the top three twice (2011-12).
• Last season, the Bears placed third in the championships, earning 688 overall points and four first-place finishes. In total, MoState has garnered 23 gold medals at the MAC Championship.
