Starting Five - Storylines for the Belmont Game
1) The Missouri State Lady Bears are continuing their tradition of dominance on the boards this season. MSU ranks 6th nationally and 1st in the Missouri Valley Conference with 16.4 offensive rebounds per game, while ranking 2nd in the conference and 19th in the country in total rebound average with 42.6 per game. Missouri State also owns a +10.3 rebound margin, which is 2nd in the conference and 9th nationally.

2) Missouri State is currently on an eight-game win streak, which is the second-longest in the Valley behind Belmont, who is riding a nine-game win streak coming into the matchup. In that span the Lady Bears have held their opponents to an average of 65.4 points per game, 31.1 rebounds per game and a .282 (37-131) three-point field goal percentage.

3) According to HerHoopsStats.com, Jade Masogayo is currently the only freshman in NCAA Division I averaging at least 8.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game and 1.5 assists per game this season. She is also just one of eight freshmen in the nation shooting at least 54% from the field (min. 100 FGA). Masogayo is now tied for 9th in program history in single-season blocks with 39 on the year.

4) With eight rebounds against Murray State, fifth-year senior Sydney Wilson surpassed 600 career rebounds. She is just the 16th Lady Bear with at least 1,000 career points and 600 career rebounds in program history. Wilson is also second all-time in career victories with 116, trailing only Brice Calip (2017-22) who owns 122 career wins. Wilson has logged 15 double-figure point games this season and has led MSU in assists in seven games this season.

5) Missouri State is 9-0 this season when holding opponents to 60 points or less and 12-0 when scoring 70+ points. They also own a 17-2 record when collecting more assists than their opponent, meanwhile that record falls to 0-5 when their opponent has more assists.

Series History
Missouri State and Belmont met for the first time in the programs' histories earlier this season in Nashville.
