SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer team will host California State University, Northridge (CSUN), on Friday night at 7 p.m., when the Bears play the sixth of their opening eight-game home stretch.

Promotions
• Friday night will feature a "Camp Night" during halftime against CSUN. Missouri State soccer school campers can check in at the main gate and receive a free give away and also get the opportunity to play a small game at half time and meet the team post-game. Friday night will also feature a Bingo night at Allison South Stadium. Prizes will be provided to any fan who gets 'Bingo'!

• The Bears stout defense is tied for second in the nation in shutout percentage. MSU has four shutouts over five games this season (.800).
• Harry Townsend has recorded four-straight clean sheets so far this year, against UC Irvine, Air Force, Lindenwood and UTRGV. The junior goalkeeper has registered 13 saves through five matches (.929). He also is tied with eight other goalkeepers in Division I for most shutouts (4) and ranks second in GAA (.200).
• MSU's seven total nonconference games are against teams from across three time zones. Three are against teams from PST, three from teams in CST and one from a team in MST (AFA).
• Since the start of the 2019 season, the Bears have only lost two regular-season matches over 45 games (45-2-2).
• Michael Peck was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the week on Monday, for games played through Sept. 11. The sophomore defender ranks second in the team in minutes played (431) and has helped the team to four-straight shutouts.
• MSU is one of seven teams that rank 24th in goal differential in the NCAA. The Bears have scored nine goals this season while only allowing one, good for a goal differential of eight.
• The matchup between MSU and CSUN is only the third in both school's history. The first came in 2001 (2-3) with the second being played in 2011 (0-3). The Matadors lead the series, 2-0.

• Five different Bears have scored goals for MSU this season.
• Four of MSU's five goal scorers have two goals apiece. Jesus Barea, Aadne Bruseth, Nicolo Mulatero and Kian Yari all lead the team so far this season.
• The Bears are second in the conference for goals scored with nine.
• MSU has allowed the fewest goals so far this season in the Missouri Valley Conference, only conceding one through its first five matches.

• With a 3-0-2 record, the Bears are sitting at No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches top-25 after three weeks of the regular season. Last week, MSU was ranked No. 16 and the week before, No. 25.
