SPRING, Texas -- Senior
Crimson Callahan led the way for the Missouri State men's golf team through the first 36 holes Monday (Mar. 8) at the Colin Montgomerie/HBU Invitational at Augusta Pines Golf Club. The lefty from Chesterfield, Mo., carded 72-75--147, three over par, and is tied for 16th place, while the Bears are ninth of 14 in the team standings after shooting 301-307-608.
Sophomore
Max Kreikemeier is tied for 26th after shooting 73-76--149, while
Eric Schuessler is tied for 47th with 77-78--155.
Carter Lee posted 79-78--157 for the Bears and senior Chris Obert had 84-81--165.
Texas Rio Grande Valley took the 36-hole team lead, posting 281-300--581, five better than Stephen F. Austin's 586. Gonzaga is third with 588 and host Houston Baptist fourth at 589. Southeastern Louisiana (597) is fifth, followed by Midland C.C. (598), Weber State (599), New Orleans (604), the Bears and Incarnate Word (609) rounding out the top 10.Â
Tuesday's final round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.Â
