Storylines for the Indiana State Series
1) Missouri State (13-6, 9-5 Missouri Valley Conference) closes out the regular season at Indiana State with matches at 4 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The Bears can secure a top four league finish with one victory and can still win the conference title with two wins and some help.
2) The Bears average 1.68 aces per set, on pace for the best figure since 1992 and well ahead of the 2003 club's 1.47 average that ranks as the best in the rally scoring era. Missouri State has seven matches with 10-plus aces already this year, the most since the 1987 team also did that 10 times.
3) MSU has served 44 more aces than the opposition with 52 fewer service errors, resulting in a 96-point difference. The Bears have served more aces than the opposition in 12 of 18 matches, and more aces than errors 13 times.
4) Missouri State has locked up an overall winning record, both overall and in MVC play, for the 21st time in the last 22 seasons.
5) Junior Amelia Flynn enters the weekend 23 kills away from becoming the 22nd Missouri State player with 1,000 in a career.
6) Underclassmen have accounted for 69 percent of MSU's point total this season, and all but one of the Bears' 1,229 points this year have been scored by non-seniors.
7) Missouri State head coach Steven McRoberts became the 19th active Division I head coach with 600 career wins with MSU's 3-1 triumph against Bradley on March 22.
The Opponent
Indiana State is 7-10 overall and 7-9 in MVC play with at least one win in six of eight league series. The Sycamores and their opponents both hit .203 on the year, and ISU averages 13.06 kills, 1.38 aces, 18.62 digs and 1.67 blocks per set.
Series History
The Bears lead the Sycamores 68-2 in the all-time series and had a streak of 54 consecutive wins snapped by ISU last season in Terre Haute.
Last Time Out

In the rematch, Amelia Flynn had 20 kills and the Bears served 11 aces for a 3-1 victory, the 600th career win for head coach Steven McRoberts.
